Wish they had electricity. We stayed at this campground for 1 night on our recent RV trip. This is located just perfectly next to the beach. You can walk to the beach as well as the little butterfly trail. Getting in and out is super easy.

The campsites are well laid out and have lots of space. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. They even had a great dish washing station so you don't have to wash in your RV.

It was locked to the trailer with a substantial security cable that was cut. The night before another generator was stolen. Talking to other campers the park is known how to take security tags off problems with homeless and thievery.

Other than taking a report, the part rangers do not appear to be doing anything to address this problem and nobody warned us when we checked in. Nearby Monarch grove is a natural wonder worth it all by itself. Walking distance to convenience stores and all Pismo attractions. By contrast to the nearby Dunes camping, this provides the location advantage with shelter from the wind. If your up to dry camping this beach camping is for you. Got a good site next to the monarch path.

Very close proximity to the ocean. Most sites have ample room for stretching out. If you camp here often you will get ripped off at some point. Law enforcement just shrugs it off. This last trip our neighbor got two of his generators stolen. They tried to cut through my cable and lock but were unsuccessful. You have homeless to the west, easy unlit street access to the east, trailer parks on your flank and aft.

Way too much incentive for crime. Also if you have dogs who are not quite calm puppies bewareyou will have to deal with stupid people who ignore the leash only policy and then control your dog who cannot resolve why they cannot be off leash as well chasing ducks and seagulls. Also people around the local area love their illegal fireworks on holidays, what is the theme of the story rikki tikki tavi owners beware.

Danny B wrote a review Apr Not this place too. The first day or so was great then the neighbors from hell moved in above our room.

Frankly, I found it impossible to think no one else had complained given the number of occupants and the noise at all hours of the night.

I guess the party was truly on their balcony. I think they were running a gymnastics school I that room and it never quit! The grab and go was terrible and parking atrocious. After all, there is no need to close the lot just for a few outside tables when your breakfast is grab and go. I challenge management to stay in that bed for the night. I will bring my use chest to fill up, like everyone did with me.

Hotel's Favorite. Fabulous stay - Kid and Pet friendly. We had a great stay here. Loved the free continental breakfast. The ocean view was gorgeous. We didn't have a car but it was a nice walk on the beach to Pismo Pier and the restaurants along that street. Our room was huge with a living area including fold out couch , mini kitchen area with small fridge, sink, microwave , 2 bathrooms, and a master bedroom.

Overall, it was great! Review collected in partnership with this hotel. Date of stay: December Value. Sleep Quality. BayAreaMomTraveler wrote a review Apr Burlingame, California 1 contribution. We stopped here for a night on a road trip when returning from Palm Springs to the Bay Area with our 5 and 1 year old.

We have stayed at many places pre Covid and this was hands down the best family hotel. The rooms are very spacious and ours had direct ocean views.

There is an enormous and very high quality play yard area that kids of all ages love. Our kids were beyond happy to play there and kept saying this is the best hotel ever. We also appreciated the included breakfast as well as how the hotel managed safety precautions. Much of the hotel is outside and the few indoor areas like breakfast pick up or reception desk they had clearly posted signs limiting how many could be inside. All the guests seemed to respect this and though the hotel was decently busy it never felt unsafe.
